This Chelsea midfielder to be out for some weeks
Chelsea manager and Germany International Thomas Tuchel, in a recent statement, has revealed the Blues will be without one of their midfielders, Mateo Kovacic, for some weeks.
Tuchel, in a pre-match statement, revealed that Kovacic suffered a hamstring injury during training.
The Blues manager in a press conference said, “You have just reminded me, he suffered a hamstring injury in training and will be out for some weeks.”
Tuchel, however, also applauded the former Real Madrid midfielder, who he described as a fantastic team player.
The German manager revealed he was a huge fan of Kovacic at Real Madrid as he revealed the midfielder has a passion for training.
“I remember him at Clasicos, I saw such big potential in him. He has such a passion for training, it is a joy to be his coach. We want to simplify his game a little bit and not look for a third or fourth solution as he already has a first and second,” Tuchel added.
Chelsea will return to action this weekend when they face Newcastle Utd in the Premier League at St. James Park.
