This AS Roma striker wants to return to Chelsea
The latest report has claimed that AS Roma striker and England international Tammy Abraham has revealed his intention to return to Chelsea later in future.
Recall that Abraham moved to Roma last summer from Chelsea in a deal of around £34m.
So far, the 24-year-old has had an impressive outing at the Italian club, having netted a total of 18 goals in 33 games in all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s side.
Despite this, Corriere dello Sport, in a report, claimed that Abraham remains keen on a return to English football in the future, particularly to Chelsea.
The former Chelsea academy product had a breakthrough year under Frank Lampard in the 2019-20 season, when he scored 18 goals, but after Thomas Tuchel took over, Abraham struggled to break into the German’s plans and was sold to Roma back in August.
However, the Blues added a buyback clause in the sale, with a fee of around £68m required to trigger a potential return to Stamford Bridge in the following summer transfer window.
So far, Chelsea have not indicated interest to recall Abraham to the squad.
