Ten Hag give update on Man Utd’s move for a new striker
Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag in a recent statement gave an update on the club’s move for a new strike this summer.
Ten Hag revealed the Red Devils are already making progress in search of a new striker.
The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo after his contract was terminated and a loan move for Wout Weghorst, underscored the need for a striker at Old Trafford.
So far Man United have signed midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea and goalkeeper Andre Onana from Serie A side this summer.
The Red Devils are in a race for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund, who is said to be their top target.
“We make progress, yeah. But you know how it works – when we have him, we will tell you directly,” Ten Hag said when asked about United’s pursuit of a striker.
“The only thing I can say is we do everything that’s in our power to get that done. If it was up to me, yeah, as soon as possible. The earlier the better because we have to integrate him in the team, the way of play.”
