Ten Hag believes Sancho still has a future at Man Utd
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag could still give Jadon Sancho a chance at the club despite their recent clash.
This comes as the former Borussia Dortmund man has been limited to game time since Ten Hag arrived at the Theatre of Dreams.
Sancho made three substitute appearances at the start of the season.
He was also dropped from the squad entirely for Man United’s recent visit to Arsenal, which ended in a 3-1 defeat for the Red Devils as Antony and Marcus Rashford started out wide.
In a post-match statement, Ten Hag said Sancho was left from the squad due to poor performances in training, but the winger publicly challenged the manager’s claims on social media, which made headlines.
While Ten Hag is said to be disappointed at Sancho’s outburst The Mirror reported that the manager is happy to welcome him back into the fold, so long as the attacker proves his worth.
The Dutchman was left dumbfounded by the way their row escalated, having expected Sancho to rise to the challenge after publicly admitting why he cut him from the squad.
The Red Devils manager supposedly feels that the situation was “blown out of proportion”, and he is hopeful that a peaceful resolution can be reached to see Sancho work his way back into his good books.
