Some Chelsea staff believe £18m midfielder better than Fernandez

Journalist Matt Law in a statement on The London is Blue podcast revealed some people at Chelsea are comparing Andrey Santos to Enzo Fernandez.

Matt Law added that many of them think Santos is a better midfielder than the Blues’ January record signing.

Recall that Chelsea signed the pair as two of their many January signings.

Chelsea splashed over £100m on Fernandez who made his debut for the Blues during their game vs Fulham.

While he was impressive despite Chelsea’s poor performance, some people at the club believe Santos could impress.

Santos is yet to make his debut for the Blues, but there is reportedly hope amongst those at the club that he has the biggest prospects of all.

Matt Law said: “Chelsea are very, very excited about Andrey Santos. There are people in the club that think he’s been their best January Transfer.”

As of now, the Brazil midfielder is on international duty representing his country at the U20 level in the South American championships.
