Silva speaks on his contract at Chelsea

Chelsea defender and Brazil international Thiago Silva during a pre-match statement against Italian side AC Milan said there was still time to discuss his contract with the Blues.

He, however, added that it was not the right time yet as he hinted that the talks could take place before or after the world cup.

Silva added that his main concern at the moment is to keep playing at a high level and achieve the best result.

‘It is not the right time to talk about new contracts. For me, what is important is to continue playing at a high level and achieve the best results,’ he said.

‘There will come a time when we need to talk, that could be before the World Cup or after. I have to consider my family arrangements. I will have to decide what to do as this is an important decision. We will see what will happen.’
