Chelsea veteran defender and Brazil star Thiago Silva may have played his last match for the Blues during their last encounter Vs Aston Villa.

This comes after Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino confirmed the Silva was forced off in their 2-2 draw against Aston Villa with a groin issue.

The defender was spotted holding his groin towards the end of the game against Villa.

Speaking about Silva in a post-match statement, Pochettino said:

‘We need to assess him after tomorrow. It is a pain in his groin, which was similar to [Crystal] Palace.’

Recall that Silva was out of action for three matches including the League Cup final after sustaining a groin injury in February.

39-year-old Silva is in his final few months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and there have been speculations revolving around if he would leave the club this summer or extend his stay.
