Russian midfielder linked to Chelsea

The latest report has linked Chelsea with moves for Dynamo Moscow midfielder, Arsen Zakharyan this summer.

According to the reports, the Blues have decided to trigger a €15 million (£12.6m) release clause to sign Zakharyan, who is widely regarded as one of the brightest midfielders in Russia after playing his first game for Dynamo Moscow in November 2020.

Zakharyan, 19, has won the club’s Player of the Year award for two seasons in a row and has made appearances for Russia’s national team.

He can play at the left and central midfield and as of last season scored nine goals and created nine assists.

Sport-Express in Russia reports that the Blues are making moves for the player and want the deal done as fast as possible.

Chelsea are said to be ready to pay Zakharyan’s €15m (£12.6m) release clause.

The nineteen-year-old midfielder still has two years remaining on his current contract with the club.
