Ronaldo will miss pre-season tour – Man Utd confirm

Manchester United in an official statement released on Friday, have confirmed they will be without Cristiano Ronaldo during their pre-season.

According to the statement, Ronaldo will miss the Red Devils’ preseason tour of Thailand as he continues to deal with a “family issue.”

The Portugal striker will not be on the flight to Bangkok, which left Manchester at 4.30 pm UK time today.

The statement read: “Cristiano Ronaldo will not beaten the party departing for Thailand as he has been granted additional time off to deal with a family issue.”

Man United will go head to head against Liverpool on July 12, before travelling to Australia for fixtures against Melbourne Victory, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.

The Red Devils led by Erik ten Hag are due to return to Manchester on July 25.

Some reports claim the reason for Ronaldo’s absence is that he is desperate to leave Old Trafford this summer to join a club playing Champions League football next season.

He has been linked with moves to Chelsea and Bayer Munich.
