Real Madrid manager reacts to permanent job at Chelsea
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has reacted to the reports linking him to Chelsea where he is being tipped to replace interim manager Frank Lampard at the end of the season.
Ancelotti in a statement ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with Chelsea on Wednesday ruled out himself from a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Italian manager alongside the likes of Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique are among the names on the target list for Chelsea’s job.
Speaking on the development, Ancelotti told Radio Rai 1: “There is a nice saying which is just right: the wind carries away the chatter. And that is it, I have a contract until June 30, 2024, and I would like to respect it.”
With Chelsea’s chances of playing in Europe next season getting slimmer, there are chances most of the top-rated coaches would reject offer to manage the club.
