RB Leipzig join race for Chelsea star

The latest report claims that RB Leipzig have joined the race for Chelsea defender Trevor Chalobah this summer.

With Chelsea completing the signing of Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, Chalobah doesn’t stand a chance in the Blues squad.

While the Blues are keen on keeping him, it is believed they will accept only a loan transfer for him this summer.

RB Leipzig’s interest in the Blues player comes after they had signed back Timo Werner.

Aside from RB Leipzig, Inter Milan are also keen on signing the defender.

Leipzig are in need of a replacement for Lukas Klostermann, who was ruled out for several weeks with an ankle injury.

The German side wants a player that is comfortable in a three-man defence, and they believe that Chalobah would fit in well.

Other clubs that have shown interest in Chalobah include ottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and AS Roma.

Chelsea may have to take a decision on the defender before the window closes in a matter of days.
