Premier League side unwilling to meet Chelsea’s valuation of young defender
As Chelsea continue to look a way to cut down expenses at the club by letting go of some players so a fresh leg can be added, West Ham United are reportedly not willing to match the blues valuation of Kurt Zouma.
Zouma has been linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer as Thomas Tuchel is willing to sign Sevilla defender Jules Koundé as his replacement.
Kounde is Chelsea’s first choice in the defensive department and Zouma was reportedly added to the deal that was rejected by Sevilla.
There are reports that Zouma also wants to stay in the Premier League rather than move to Spain.
With Chelsea eager to get the deal done before the new season, West Ham appear to be the lone frontrunners.
However, a new report from Sky Sports has revealed that David Moyes’s side are unwilling to meet our £25m asking price.
Apart from this, Zouma’s wages would also prove to be a stumbling block as West Ham might not be able to match his payslip at Chelsea.
Zouma has two years left on his current contract at Chelsea and there are reports that the Frenchman is not in a hurry to decide on his future.
