Premier League icon hails Manchester United’s summer signing, labels him a superstar

Former Liverpool player, Michael Owen has lavished praise on Manchester United’s marquee signing of the summer, Jadon Sancho, labeling the youngster a superstar.

Sancho finally completed his move to Manchester United this summer after another impressive season with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

The England international have made his debut for the club against Leeds United, coming on as a second half substitute.

He also appeared as a second half substitute in United’s draw against Southampton last time out and he has been tipped to be given a place in the starting lineup against Wolves next week before the first international break of the summer.

With fans still waiting for magical moment from the former Manchester City youth set up, Owen while speaking Premier League Productions, via the Manchester Evening News stated that he used to watch Sancho as a kid at Manchester City’s academy.

According to Owen, to say Sancho blew him away back then was an understatement.

The former Liverpool forward noted that it was obvious Sancho was going to be a superstar player.

Owen added that by all accounts, a couple of people out there in Germany who watch a lot of football told him that Sancho was absolutely outstanding.

They couldn’t believe that he didn’t get a regular berth in the England national team at the Euros.

Sancho will be eager to impress Owen when given a chance in Manchester United’s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
