Potter assures defender after defeat to Brighton
Chelsea manager Graham Potter and defender Marc Cucurella were the biggest losers doing the club’s weekend game vs Brighton in the EPL.
This is because the defeat comes after Potter and Cucurella moved to Stamford Bridge from Brighton some weeks back.
While Cucurella joined Chelsea in the summer window under former manager Thomas Tuchel, Potter joined the Blues in September as a replacement for the German.
However, the reports have claimed that Potter has assured Cucurella that he trusts him at Chelsea.
According to The Athletic, the former Brighton manager has privately informed the 24-year-old that he still has full faith in him going forwards.
However, there are possibilities that Cucurella may be one of the first team players offered a much-needed break when they play Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday in the UCL.
This is because the Blues are already confirmed as group winners, and should use the game to rest some of their key players.
