Pochettino reportedly tells Chelsea to sign this player
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has already told Chelsea, led by American billionaire Todd Boehly, about the signings he would need them to make this summer.
Pochettino, who will take over at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea’s next permanent coach, wants Chelsea to add a creative central midfielder to his ranks and has told Boehly to beat Liverpool for the signing of Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, according to Fichajes.
Allister, who Brighton signed in 2019, was one of the stars of Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup squad in Qatar last year.
He made six consecutive matches for Argentina during the tournament after being left out of their opening 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia.
His impressive form for his country’s national team has led to much speculation about his future at Brighton and where he will end up, with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal all reportedly trying to sign him.
Allister’s deal with Brighton, however, doesn’t end until 2025, which means Brighton will be expecting a good offer to consider letting him go.
