Pochettino replies Chelsea fan calling for Mourinho
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino in a recent statement said he understood the frustration from the club supporters who called for his sack during the 2-2 draw with Brentford on Saturday.
Pochettino in a response asserted that he remains “the head coach.”
Recall that Nicolas Jackson opened the scoreboard for the Blues in the first half, but the hosts were leading by the 69th minute after goals from Mads Roerslev and Yoane Wissa.
With the Blues team behind, fans began to sing the names of Jose Mourinho and former owner Roman Abramovich, whilst also chanting against Todd Boehly.
And for the first time this season, the Blues fans’ could be heard saying “f*** off, Mauricio” at the away end at the Gtech Community Stadium.
When asked about the chants against him, Pochettino said: “Yes, I’ve been told but I didn’t hear, to be honest.
“It’s difficult for me to understand so that why I cannot… I don’t know, I need to believe what you are telling me, but it’s normal, we are losing the game 2-1, it’s about expressing frustration, of course we are responsible, I am the one responsible, I am the head coach.”
