Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed Levi Colwill has what it takes to become the club’s captain in future.

Levi, 20-year-old, was handed the armband for the first time as the Blues lost 2-1 at Manchester United in midweek.

Pochettino has now said Colwill has the personality of a leader.

“No. It is (only seen as) a pressure for (people) who don’t know Levi,” he told reporters.

“Levi can deal with it because of his personality and character. He loves the club; he came from the club (the academy) and in 4-5 months (with the first team), everyone respects him. He has the profile to be captain.”

This comes ahead of Chelsea’s Sunday match vs Everton in the Premier League.

The Blues would hope to bounce back with a win against The Toffees having lost points to the Red Devils in the midweek.
