Pochettino hints on new signing starting vs Luton Town

Ahead of Chelsea’s weekend game vs Luton Town, the Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino discussed the possibilities of their new signings Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo featuring.

Pochettino revealed preparations are going, with one of them set to be involved from the off for the visit of Luton.

According to the manager, Caicedo is ready to start for the Blues but the same can’t be said of Lavia, who he said needs weeks to catch up with the teams.

Pochettino said via Chelsea’s official website: ‘Moi is ready to start,’ confirmed our head coach. ‘Lavia, after we assessed him, I think he still needs a few weeks to be ready to be involved with the team. In his conditioning he’s working to try to catch his team-mates. For Romeo we need to wait a few weeks to be with the team, but with Moi we are ready.’
