Only way Chelsea can finish in top four

Former Manchester City star, Micah Richards believes Chelsea can still finish in the Premier League top-four this season.

He, however, stressed that it was only possible if they signed a new top striker this January transfer window.

The Blues currently have two strikers Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja at their disposal.

They have also been linked with moves for Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.

However, the chances of both deals happening this January are slim.

The West London club are currently seated outside of the Premier League table.

Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast (via The Chelsea Chronicle), Richards said:

“It is as easy as when Alan said if Man City get Haaland they will win everything.

“If Chelsea get that proper top striker, we are looking at a top four, top five, top six contender for me.”
