Chelsea sacked manager Graham Potter will work with the club on a new transition to new management.

Recall that the former Brighton manager was sacked as Chelsea manager on Sunday.

Pressure were high on Saturday after the Blues suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa.

The outcome saw the Blues drop to the 11th spot on the table and proved to be Potter’s final match in charge.

A statement released via the club’s website revealed that Bruno Saltor will take charge of the team as interim head coach with Chelsea’s next outing seeing them entertain Liverpool on Tuesday night.

“Graham has agreed to collaborate with the club to facilitate a smooth transition,” the statement said.

“In his time with the club, Graham has taken us to the quarter-final of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid.”
