Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eager to break Manchester City Premier League dominance
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes his squad has what it takes to break Manchester City’s dominance in the Premier League.
Manchester City under Pep Guardiola has become one of the most feared team in Europe and they’ve won two of the last three Premier League title.
Pep Guardiola’s team swept aside their rivals to win the Premier League title in a thrilling manner last season.
With United already adding depth to their squad by bringing in Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane, Solskjaer believes now is the time to end City’s supremacy.
Speaking to reporters, Solskjaer stated that he feel United and Chelsea have spent well, worked well and they should look at themselves as potential challengers.
Solskjaer stated that it feels like this season coming up is one of the strongest Premier League seasons.
Of course it’s been City and Liverpool fighting it out for a few years and anyone who ends up above last year’s champions will be champions.
Solskjaer added that he will rather be an optimist and be wrong than be a pessimist and be right.
He noted that his team can win trophies, with a maximum effort and maximum sacrifice. They want to start winning trophies and the foundation has been laid.
