Former Liverpool star, Danny Murphy has tipped Manchester United as the club that will struggle finish in the top for this season.

According to the former Reds midfielder, the Red Devils will not come compete for the Premier League title this campaign.

Murphy’s comment comes after Man Utd were held to a goalless draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park over the weekend.

Man Utd had head to the game after their 7-0 win against Barnsley.

As of now, the Red Devils led by manager Erik ten Hag are 11th in the Premier League table, after five games, winning two games.

Analysing Man Utd’s game against Palace on Match of The Day, Murphy said Ten Hag brought in Zirkzee, who is the only attacking player and a young lad.

The former Liverpool star stressed that Zirkzee is not a goal scorer or a centre-forward.

According to Murphy, the Red Devils’ current form will not get them to where they want to be in terms of competing for the title.

“Even the top four I think they are going to struggle if they make chances and have creativity in the team,” he added.

Man Utd will returned to action in the Europa League this weekend when they play Dutch side Twente.
