Nkunku – Garnacho: Man Utd, Chelsea consider swap deal
With a few days left to the end of the January transfer window, there are reports that Manchester United and Chelsea could welcome at least a new player in their respective teams.
The reports revealed the Red Devils and the Blues are considering a possible swap deal that involves Alejandro Garnacho and Christopher Nkunku.
There are speculations that two Premier League clubs first had talks about potential separate deals at the end of December.
This was made public by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, via his X account.
Romano, however, stated that it could still just be an idea for the clubs this January.
“As @RobDawsonESPN reported today, it could be still an idea for the two clubs,” he said.
Garnacho has been linked with moves away from Old Trafford and also favours a move to Chelsea over Napoli, according to TyC Sport.
Meanwhile, the Serie A side had earlier seen an initial bid rejected for the 20-year-old as the Red Devils are demanding £70million.
As proof of his interest in a move to Stamford Bridge, Garnacho’ agents were spotted at Stamford Bridge on Monday night to during the Blues game against Wolves.
Man Utd would, however, prefer he moves to Napoli as against joining a direct rival like Chelsea.
