New defender: Pavard shows interest in Chelsea

Chelsea may have found a new defender they are sure to join them before the close of the summer window.

This comes as a report via Bild revealed that Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard has shown interest in Chelsea if they make a suitable offer to his current club.

It is no news that Thomas Tuchel’s led Blues squad wants to sign at least, one more central defender this summer to replace Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger who both left the club for Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively this summer.

While they have already signed Koulibaly from Napoli they were closed to sealing a deal without on Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, who dump the Blues and posts for a move to Barcelona.

BILD reported that Pavard is keen on linking up with his former boss, Thomas Tuchel if Chelsea stumps up a suitable offer.

In another news, Chelsea have already identified two players to sign as Kounde’s alternatives and they are Dayot Upamecano and Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich.
