Need more experience: Maresca tells Chelsea to send new signing on loan

It turns out one of Chelsea signings this summer transfer window will not get a chance to play in the Blues squad next season.

Recent update disclosed that Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has told their Marc Guiu to leave Stamford Bridge on loan this summer.

According to Maresca, Guiu need to gather more experience, the reason he needs to leave the club.

Recall that the West Londoner triggered the teenager’s €6 million release clause to sign him from Spanish giants  Barcelona earlier this summer.

Guiu had rejected an offer of a new contract from the Catalans before signing a long-term deal with the Blues.

While he has joined Chelsea for the start of their pre-season training at their Cobham training ground as one of the striker options, he might have to leave soon.

Although Guiu wants to stay at Stamford Bridge, however, Spanish media oufit Esport3 reported that Maresca is far from convinced of the teenager’s readiness to contribute to his squad this season.

The Blues boss and former Leicester City manager is said to be considering sending the player back to the La Liga on loan with Spanish side Espanyol as his likely destination.

We will have to wait to see if the loan transfer will happen before the close of the transfer window.
