Messi speaks on winning 2023 Ballon d’Or

Inter Miami striker and Argentina star Lionel Messi has reacted to his chances of winning another Ballon d’Or in 2023.
Messi in his statement said it would be a beautiful thing if he is able to win the highly coveted award again.
The 36-year-old Argentine, however, stressed that he has already won important awards like the Champions League, Copa America and World Cup.
Messi is one of the favourites to win a record-extending Ballon d’Or, having won it seven times already.
He would, however, face competition from Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland and Paris Saint-Germain Kylian Mbappe who are also tipped to win the award for the first time.
But Messi said: “[The Ballon d’Or] is a beautiful honour.
“But I was lucky to win everything: the Champions League, league titles, Copa America, World Cup. These are the important awards.”
Messi currently has the highest number of Ballon d’Or.
