Medical next: Chelsea star set to join Sunderland

Chelsea star Marc Guiu has been tipped as the next player to leave Stamford Bridge, with report linking him to Sunderland.

According to Sky Sports, Guiu would fly to Sunderland on Sunday to complete his transfer, with a medical expected in the next 24 hours.

It was reported that Guiu will be joining Sunderland a loan transfer.

Recall that Guiu arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer from Barcelona for £5m. He, however, struggled for regular game time, making only three Premier League appearances.

Guiu, however, scored six goals in seven Conference League games, including a hat-trick against Shamrock Rovers.

With the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer transfer window, Guiu has falling down the order at Chelsea.

Chelsea are working to sign Xavi Simons, and tipped to make an offer for Alejandro Garnacho before the end of the window.

Should Guiu remain at Chelsea till then, he would struggle game time at the club.

Dropping an update on Guiu’s transfer to Chelsea, Sky Sports reporter, Keith Downie, wrote via his X handle,
