Maresca speaks about Marc’s performance since returning from loan

Chelsea forward Marc Guiu could get a nod to play for the Blues when they take on Premier League toppers Liverpool this weekend at Stamford Bridge.
Guiu was yet to feature for the Blues since being rejoining them from his loan spell at Sunderland towards the end of the transfer window.
The Spain international has, however, been named in Chelsea match-day squad for our previous three fixtures.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca recently disclosed that the Spanish forward will be given minutes in the games ahead as he insisted Guiu’s development will also be served by being around the first-team at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues boss disclosed Guiu has been working well, adding that he has worked much better compared to the first weeks when he came back from his loan spell.
‘He is back at a big club like Chelsea and he is going to get minutes with us, no doubt. And also for me, the development of a young player is not just about the game.
‘It’s about the training sessions and the day by day. It’s important that he’s with us and working with us,’ Maresca said.
