A recent report via Sky Sports has revealed that Chelsea will unveil their new manager Enzo Maresca on Monday, June 3.

Maresca will take charge at Chelsea as a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino who was sacked on mutual consent last season.

The report revealed that Maresca who will replace Pochettino at Stamford Bridge, has agreed to a five-year contract.

The 44-year-old is joining Chelsea from Leicester City after guiding the Foxes back to the Premier League by winning the Championship.

Recall that the West London club was linked to managers like Brentford’s Thomas Frank, Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna, and Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi but Maresca was their top candidate from the shortlist.

The Italian release clause from Leicester City is reported to be between £8 million and £10 million.

Maresca will arrive at Stamford Bridge with six members of his Leicester backroom staff, including former Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero.

Once unveiled on Monday, Maresca will be given a chance to approve the players he wants Chelsea to sign in the summer transfer window.

Going by the deal the Blues signed with Maresca, he will likely be given more time to build his team to compete for cups from next season.
