Manchester United legend reveals how the club can get the best out of star midfielder
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has offered his former club advice on getting the best out of France midfielder Paul Pogba.
Pogba’s career at Manchester United has been mixed with good and bad times, with the world cup winner always in the spotlight.
The former Juventus midfielder has always been linked with a move out of Old Trafford, with some reports claiming he’s not happy with the treatment he’s receiving from United’s fans.
However, Pogba showed what he’s capable of during the European Championship, putting a solid performance for France, who were eventually knocked in the round of 16.
This performance has got fans asking if he can replicate it with Manchester United next season, a move Rooney believe is possible.
Rooney, while speaking to The Times, gave some insight on how Pogba’s performance for France can be gotten at United.
According to Rooney, some of the passes Paul played for Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappé were incredible.
However, at United, Edinson Cavani is a different type of No 9, one who plays in the box. Still, if Marcus Rashford can develop his game and be encouraged to start making those Mbappé-style runs behind, I believe you would see Paul doing more of what he does for his country in a club shirt.
