Manchester City star agent reportedly in talks with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid over potential move

Manchester City attacker, Bernardo Silva’s agent has reportedly started talks with the top hierarchy at Barcelona and Atletico Madrid over a potential move to Spain.

Bernardo Silva has become an important figure in Pep Guardiola’s setup ever since he was signed from Monaco.

The Portuguese attacker has been able to play his way into Pep Guardiola’s heart despite the squad boasting of top players in the attacking department.

However, new reports have claimed that Bernardo Silva wishes to leave Manchester City this season, hoping to start a new adventure in Spain.

According to Daily Mail, negotiations on how the Portuguese will depart Manchester City has already started with Jorge Mendes playing a big role in it.

The reports claimed that Barcelona and Atletico Madrid remain the favourite to sign Silva but the Portugal international prefers a move to Diego Simeone’s team.

Atletico Madrid remains Silva’s most preferred team among the two but it’s not feasible the la Liga Champion are willing to splash cash this summer.

Silva is reportedly seeking the move due to personal reasons as he wants to be closer to Portugal.

Manchester City value the playmaker who scored five times and contributed nine assists in 45 appearances during the 2020-21 campaign in the region of £51.5m.
