Manchester City set to offer star player a new long-term contract
Premier League Champion, Manchester City are prepared to offer their goalkeeper Ederson a new contract that will keep him at the club till he clocks 32.
Ederson is currently 27 year old and his contract at Ethad Stadium is set to expire in 2025.
However, City are not ready to take chances on the Brazil international as they are willing to tie him down to a new long term.
According to The Athletic correspondent Sam Lee, the former Benfica goalkeeper is in line for a three-year extension, keeping him at the Etihad until 2028.
The report also claimed that Ederson is not the only player that will be handed a new contract as they are willing to offer a number of first-team players new contracts this summer.
Ederson was signed for a fee of £35million from Benfica in 2017 and has grown to become one of the best goalkeepers in the world, winning titles with City.
