Manchester City ready to sign Chelsea target for £90m this summer
Manchester City are supposedly prepared to test Aston Villa’s resolve with a £90m bid for skipper Jack Grealish.
With England’s Euro 2020 campaign now over after defeat to Italy in the final, Grealish is required to be at the centre of transfer tussle, regardless of signing another contract with Aston Villa just last year.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has apparently recognized the 25-year-old as a main target for the summer window, with City and Manchester United both falling flat to prise him away from the West Midlands last year.
As per Football Insider, Man City are preparing a huge £90m swoop for the Villa skipper, which if effective would turn into the unsurpassed record for a transfer fee spent by a Premier League club.
The report adds that the 25-year-old is interested to work under Guardiola and test himself in the Champions League, and he has also been intrigued by City’s persistence to get it over the line.
The England international attacker claimed two assists for England at Euro 2020 and finished the 2020-21 Premier League season with six goals and 12 assists from 26 games.
