Man Utd to sign a left-back in the summer

A recent report has revealed that the Red Devils led by Erik ten Hag will secure a deal for a young left-back in the next summer transfer window.

The Red Devils have been impacted in their defence by injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

This means Ten Hag has not had an orthodox left-back for most parts of the season.

Recall that the Red Devils signed Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur on loan last August after Shaw was ruled out for three months, but he returned to Spurs in January.

That was after it was believed that Malacia, who has been out since last May, was set to return from a knee injury.

But with the look of things, the Dutch defender is unlikely to play this season after suffering several setbacks, while Shaw is expected back in May after suffering a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, Man United lined up with Victor Lindelof at left-back during their game against Everton on Saturday.
