Man Utd midfielder turned down move to Fulham
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay reportedly rejected the chance to make the move to Fulham in the closing hours of the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old who is currently on international duty has continued to impress for Scotland.
He scored a goal and an assist in Scotland’s 3-0 win over Cyprus on Friday evening and has now scored six goals and registered one assist in his last five appearances for his national team.
However, the case is not the same at Old Trafford where McTominay is not regarded as a starter under Erik ten Hag, who prefers to play Casemiro, Mason Mount, Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen all ahead of him in the pecking order.
There are beliefs he would also fall behind Sofyan Amrabat too, following the Moroccan’s summer arrival at Man Utd.
McTominay was linked to Fulham where he could have gotten more game time.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed Man United were willing to let McTominay move to Fulham on deadline day, but the Scot turned down the switch.
