Man Utd hope ‘impressed’ Ronaldo will withdraw his request to leave
The latest reports have revealed that Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo is impressed by the Manchester United board’s decision to keep him at the club for next season amid interest from Chelsea, among others.
Recall that Ronaldo a few weeks back informed the Red Devils of his desire to leave Old Trafford this season because of their lack of Champions League football for next season.
The report via the Times has now revealed that how Manchester United bosses, John Murtough, Richard Arnold and Ten Hag have dealt with Ronaldo’s request has impressed the veteran goalscorer.
And this has given the club some form of encouragement as they feel that they are making headway in convincing him to remain at Old Trafford this season.
The Times further reports that Manchester United will not countenance selling the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to Chelsea, despite the Blues showing the most interest in the forward.
As of now, they are hopeful that the Portugal star will withdraw his request to leave Old Trafford and stay put next season.
