Man Utd eye Juventus star as replacement for Amrabat
The recent report has claimed that Manchester United are eyeing Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie as a replacement for Sofyan Amrabat.
A report via Italian outlet il Corriere dello Sport (via TEAMTalk) disclosed that McKennie has turned heads at Man Utd with impressive performances this season at the Allianz Stadium.
Despite struggling to impress during his time at Leeds United, the American midfielder has bounced back under Massimiliano Allegri, making 28 appearances across competitions and creating nine assists.
Leeds United refused to make McKennie’s loan deal permanent, but Manchester United’s new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is believed to be a fan and considers the 25-year-old an affordable option as the club looks to rebuild under Erik ten Hag’s leadership this summer.
McKennie has just over a year left on his contract and is valued at €25 million by Transfermarkt.
