Man City are done: Sherwood names only club that can stop Liverpool

Former Premier League player and manager, Tim Sherwood, has shared his take about Liverpool’s title race.

Sherwood stated that Arsenal are the only team capable of challenging Liverpool for the title this season.

The former manager in s statement via Generation xG, said that Manchester City’s title defense is over.

Sherwood, who once played for Watford and Tottenham, opined that Mikel Arteta’s Gunners are the only club in the English top flight capable of finishing above the Reds.

While stressing that it was difficult to write Man City off the title race, Sherwood in a statement via TBR Football, added that he can’t see the manager Pep Guardiola side playing 15 games without losing.

According to Sherwood, any club who finishes above Liverpool will win the Premier League.

“The only team who can possibly do that for me is Arsenal now that (Martin) Odegaard is back, they look like they’re on form,” he added.

Recall that Mikel Arteta has led the North London club to a second place finish in the past two seasons.

The Gunners ended the last season slightly behind Manchester City and are currently at the second spot behind Liverpool this campaign.
