Liverpool manager reveals what Salah taught youngster about his lifestyle
Having a player like Mohamed Salah in your team is not just an added advantage on the pitch but as well as off the pitch.
The Egyptian forward has been banging in goals for the reds on the pitch, but he has also ensured that his role is felt on young players in the dressing room.
Liverpool assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders has now revealed how Salah has taught Reds youngster Harvey Elliott a lesson on the importance of discipline.
Salah and Elliot, alongside their teammates, are currently preparing for the new season with a pre-season camp in Austria, and the atmosphere has been great in the centre.
However, Pepijn Lijnders revealed that he heard a story of Salah and Elliott were sitting with each other in the dining area and the Egyptian advising the youngster on what to eat.
Speaking with Liverpool official website, Lijnders stated that Elliot had some bread and some fruit on his plate, and Salah asked him how many slices of bread he’d already had that day.
Elliot said one, and Salah told him only to eat the fruit, which shows how concerned he is about the youngster fitness.
Ljinders noted that Elliot told him that he’s always learning from these guys adding that Liverpool have so many players helping the younger players and the new ones.
