Liverpool identifies two alternatives if pursuits for Premier League star fails
Premier League side Liverpool have repeatedly identity two players that will replace Youri Tielemans if the reds can’t secure his signature from Leicester City.
Liverpool are in the market for a midfielder in the summer transfer window following the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum.
Wijnaldum joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer after coming to the end of his contract at Anfield, a move that surprised the reds fans.
With Wijnaldum’s era gone at Liverpool, Youri Tielemans has been linked as his replacement following another impressive campaign with the Foxes.
The Belgium international won’t come at a low price, and Liverpool are eager to look elsewhere if his service can’t be secured.
According to new reports, Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus and Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini have emerged as a possible alternative.
Liverpool are also eager to push through a deal to sign Otavio from Porto.
The young midfielder is currently available for 40million euros (£34.3million), but his release clause increases to 60millon euros (£51.5million) after June 30.
With Otavio’s deal with Porto running out in the summer of 2025, Liverpool are reportedly ready to involve midfielder Marko Grujic, who spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Porto.
