Liverpool eye Belgium youngster as Mohammed Salah’s replacement

Premier League side, Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a move for Stade Rennes’ winger Jeremy Doku as replacement for Mohammed Salah

Sadio Mane has become an important player in Liverpool ever since he joined the reds from AS Roma some season ago.

However, Salah’s good form last season couldn’t help Liverpool win any silverware as the reds struggled in the Premier League and other cup competitions.

With Salah already linked to some top clubs in Europe, Liverpool have identified Doku as his replacement following the Belgians impressive performances at Euro 2020.

According to Dutch outlet Voetbal24, the Reds see Doku as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah should the Egyptian move on from Liverpool.

The report added that Rennes could part ways with Doku to the tune of £38million, one season after they signed him for £24million from Anderlecht.

It’s still unclear if a deal will be submitted by Liverpool this summer or the reds will wait till next summer when Doku might be willing to move abroad.
