Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount gave the Blues an important victory in the race for the top four as his strike condemned Liverpool to a fifth-consecutive home league defeat.

Mason Mount’s stupendous effort before half-time demonstrated the only goal of the game after Timo Werner had an effort ruled out by VAR, and the 1-0 success was sufficient to send the Premier league giant above Everton into fourth.
