Leboeuf tells Chelsea when to sack Potter
Former Chelsea star, Frank Leboeuf has sent a message to the club owner Todd Boehly on when to sack manager Graham Potter and bring in a replacement.
Leboeuf said Potter should be sacked if he fails to defeat German club Borussia Dortmund in their UEFA Champions League second-leg tie next month.
Leboeuf, who previously advised Chelsea to make moves for former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, said now is not the right time to sack Potter.
Recall that the Blues suffered a 1-0 loss against Dortmund in the Champions League last-16 first leg in Germany.
Speaking to Chelsea-news, Leboeuf said: “I completely understand the fans’ frustrations and being fed up right now with the situation. We all love the club, and we all want success.
“When you lose twice, with one being against the bottom of the league, it is a normal human reaction to get upset. Then asking for Graham Potter to be sacked, but I don’t think it is the right time.
“We have the second leg against Dortmund coming up, but I think if we lose that and go out of the Champions League, then it may be the time to get rid of Potter and think about bringing in another coach.”
