Everton manager Frank Lampard has opened up about his long stay at Chelsea as a player.

Lampard who was a former Chelsea captain spent 13 seasons at Stamford Bridge and became the most successful player in the club’s 109 years.

The Everton manager won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, the League Cup twice, Europa League and the Champions League during his playing days at Chelsea.

Lampard during a press conference on Friday ahead of Everton Premier League game on Boxing Day revealed that happiness kept him at Stamford Bridge as he warned off his former club and Manchester United who are interested in goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

He believes the club can match the ambition of England goalkeeper.

“Jordan feels very happy at this club. That’s the impression I get,” he said.

“Maybe I was fortunate to play Champions League a lot but when I felt comfortable at a club I came in with a smile on my face every day and I looked forward to every game and if Jordan feels like that and we can match each other’s ambitions, I don’t see that as a problem.”
