Lampard reacts to horrific error by Kepa Arizzabalaga during Chelsea’s FA Cup win
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has reacted to the error made by Kepa Arizzabalaga during the club emphatic victory over Luton Town at Chelsea.
Kepa Arizzabalaga has been out of the team ever since Eduardo Mendy was signed from Rennes in the summer but he has become first choice for cup competition.
The Spaniard was however guilty of Luton Town’s goal as he misjudged a shot that should have been a routine save for him.
However, Kepa Arizzabalaga redeemed himself by keeping Chelsea in the tie with a spectacular save when the blues were still leading by a goal and trying to finish off the game.
Speaking about Kepa Arizzabalaga’s performance after the match, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard stated that it’s very easy to sort of hone in on that.
Lampard noted that Kepa’s not been playing regularly, he’s come in and he’s trained well.
Not ready to heap blame on the Spaniard goalkeeper, Lampard noted that he’s as annoyed that the team let someone stand in thier box in space and get a shot in when they shouldn’t have done that.
Kepa Arizzabalaga might be back on the bench when Chelsea play Wolverhampton Wanderers in their next Premier League match.
