Klopp favourite to become Barcelona next coach

Ahead of the summer transfer window, there are indications that Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp could be leaving Anfield stadium.

This comes as the latest report has linked him as favourites to become Barcelona’s next coach.

It is no longer news that the Catalans are experiencing a tough season under their current coach Ronald Koeman.

The reports from Spain have claimed that Koeman is set to discuss his future with Joan Laporta in the coming weeks.

This is following a 2-1 defeat to Celta Vigo over the weekend dashing their La Liga title chances.

While Koeman has revealed his interest to remain in charge at Camp Nou next season, the club hierarchy would only consider if he has the “absolute confidence” of the club amid uncertainty surrounding his future.

If the Spanish giants decide to make the move for a new coach in the 2021-22 season, Marca claims that Liverpool manager Klopp is on the shortlist.

With the 53-year-old having a hard time this season at Liverpool, his future has been called into question.

Klopp’s current deal with the Reds would not expire until 2024, moreover the Germany international has previously insisted that he will stay put at Liverpool for the duration of his contract.
