Jorginho reveals why Chelsea players will miss Rudiger
Italy international Jorginho has said the Blues would miss Antonio Rudiger’s “big personality” in the dressing room when he leaves Stamford Bridge.
This comes as the Blues manager Thomas Tuchel on Sunday confirmed that the Germany international had informed him of his desire to leave at the end of his contract in June.
The 29-year-old is expected to join Real Madrid, with the report suggesting they have reached a verbal agreement.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Jorginho feels that Chelsea’s loss will be Los Blancos’ gain.
The Italian said: “He’s been here a long time so if he leaves then we’re going to miss him. He’s a big personality and he’s helped us a lot.
“We’ve had amazing times here; he’s a good friend of mine and of course if he leaves everyone at the club will miss him, not just me.”
Jorginho’s future at Stamford Bridge is also in doubt, with just over 14 months remaining on his existing contract.
With the current sanction in place at Chelsea, the club officials are unable to enter a new agreement with him.
The midfielder has been linked with a return to Italy, where Juventus are eying a move for him.
