Joao Pedro: Chelsea striker ‘curse’ at work?

Former football star and pundit Emmanuel Petit has shared his take about Joao Pedro’s performance for the Blues this season.

Petit in a statement suggested that the Chelsea’s striker “curse” has befallen Pedro, affecting his performance.

According to the former France international Pedro’s form has dropped off after he started well for the Blues.

Recall that Pedro joined the West London club from Brighton in the summer transfer window.

In a statement via Snabbre, the Frenchman said: “The striker curse might have got to Joao Pedro at Chelsea.

“It is weird. Honestly, I was very impressed with him when he started at the Club World Cup, and then he did it again when he came back during the summer.

“But week after week, he has been dropping off,” he added.
