It is tricky: Chelsea advised against signing Leicester City’s defender
Chelsea are in a race to complete a signing for a second defender this summer before the transfer window close.
Having lost Jules Kounde to Barcelona, Chelsea has been in the race for other options and one of them is Leicester City’s defender Wesley Fofana.
However, former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf has advised the Blues against moves for the French defender.
According to him, it is a tricky situation for the Blues to sign Fofana from Leicester City.
Fofana has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.
Speaking on reports linking Fofana with a move to Chelsea, Leboeuf told ESPN: “With Fofana, it’s a tricky situation.”
“He plays for Leicester, he has a bright future and he knows that Koulibaly has just signed, Thiago Silva is there, Chalobah is still there, so where is he going to be put in that situation? Is there going to be a rotation system?”
The Foxes have said Fofana is not for sale and they are not under pressure to sell him this summer.
