International break: Man Utd goalkeeper steps out of retirement
The International break is back and some players in Europe are returning to their respective countries to participate in international matches.
One of those who were called up by their respective countries is Man Utd goalkeeper Andre Onana, who stepped out of retirement to play for Cameroon.
Onana in a statement on Monday confirmed he would be playing for Cameroon.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper will now return to the national squad for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Recall that during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Onana left the national team camp after falling out with head coach Rigobert Song over tactics.
After the exchange with the manager, Onana announced his retirement from international football.
While an olive branch was extended in recent weeks, Onana was believed to be in two minds about returning to international duty.
But in a recent statement, Onana revealed he would be available for Cameroon when they face Burundi next week.
